“May I see your ID?” One of the guards at the lobby front desk sizes you up as a few other men walk by and flash their IDs. Your dress clothes are professional, your upcoming battle will be anything but. After responding that you’re here to do an interview with LG&T, the guard nods. “Right, I was told to escort you.” You wonder what would happen if you were to shout out that this was really some sort of shady tournament. Not much, probably more trouble than it’s worth. People have this curious tendency to ignore the strange, even in broad daylight.
After a security check and a ride on an elevator, the guard drops you off at an brightly-lit but empty cubicle farm. On the side are several offices and conference rooms. Hearing chatter from one of them, you walk in to see several other losers from Minority Rule sitting at a round table, some of them looking through their folder and others making small-talk. You also see someone wearing a white-and-black mask as you take the last seat and the voices quiet down.
“Welcome! My name is Tenerani, nice to meet you all. I’ll be the supervisor for our group’s Downsizing Game. In today’s scenario, all of you are hard-working employees at LG&T. However, economic times have required us to fire someone. To decide who that person will be, we will have a peer-review performance evaluation.” Tenerani goes on to explain the procedures and asks for any questions.
It’s time to go to work.
You have 72 hours before the first round concludes at 9:30:00 AM GMT Monday May 25th. Please have all ten of your votes in before the deadline. If you would like, you may finalize your vote when you cast it. While you may still change a finalized vote, finalizing it tells the Dealers that you do not intend to change your vote. If all players have finalized their votes before the end of the round, the round will end early. If you know that circumstances may prevent you from a timely submission, you may also send in votes for future rounds, so that you’re not counted as inactive. Future votes cannot be finalized until you confirm them during the turn they’re due.
You must send all votes and contracts by PM to Tenerani and Alydar. The Dealers will do their best to confirm all contracts within 24 hours from receiving them, though we cannot guarantee there will be no delays.
