Right, but can you bid on a card before it goes up? Generally speaking, no. It's not up, so you can't bid on it. Admittedly, it wouldn't make a difference if you could, but it's much simpler on my side if the rounds are kept separate.

You all wait expectantly for the TV to turn back on and reveal your fates! Suddenly, Alydar's voice sounds from behind, and you turn around to see a picture of him descending from the ceiling. "Ahahahaha, what do we have here? Turning your backs on the Dealer? How shameful! Ahaha, but that's not what you're here for. The results! Let's see... our pair of Kings! Incognito feels in need of a Heart, so he paid a grand 1 coins for it! Ha! Meanwhile, Avalon dug up the Spade with his 3 coins. Going down the line, deendir walked away happily with his cheap 7 of Hearts worth 1 coin. In need of even more Hearts, Incognito paid 4 coins for the 5! reynardfox stole away the 3 of Hearts for a single coin, and Imada Saneatsu was our big spender, taking the 2 of Clubs for a great 6 coins! As for darinas3... well... he slunk away to the corner to mope, throwing 15 coins over his back for good luck. We at the LGT were happy to pick them up! Ahahahahaha!" As each card's winner is read out, the attendant hands that player their card, and the number of coins is subtracted from their balances. Suddenly, a leaderboard flashes onto the screen: Round 3 ResultsIncognito: 4 cards, 232 coins = 21 points deendir: 5 cards, 209 coins = 18 points reynardfox: 2 cards, 239 coins = 17 points Avalon: 2 cards, 236 coins = 17 points Imada Saneatsu: 2 cards, 232 coins = 17 points darinas3: 1 card, 232 coins = 16 points Once more, Alydar's voice crackles over the speakers. "Those numbers are correct! deendir has decided to auction away one of his cards! Ahahaha! Let's see what we have!" The screen abruptly changes to the next lots, and a timer starts ticking down... You all have 48 hours to make your bid. The round ends at 11:30 am GMT on Wednesday, April 13th, 2015. Make sure to send a PM to Alydar with your bids (or lack thereof) by that time. You are free to change your bids at any time before the round is over, but make sure you include ALL of your current bids in a new PM, even if you don't change all of them. This game will NOT have finalization; the round will end at the scheduled time and not a moment earlier. This may change in later rounds, but this will be easier on me, so I can keep both games on the same time schedule. Your current status for this game should be reflected in a thread in your Inventory. Your cards, coins, and a breakdown of your current points will be kept there. In round-to-round updates, each player's current coins, number of cards, and current points will be shown. The individual cards aren't, but those are easily checked by looking at the results of previous rounds... A reminder that you may now auction off cards, should you feel you don't need them. If you'd like to auction off a card in the following round (Round 5), please tell me. If you'd like to auction a card that you plan to win this round, you may do so on the condition that you do indeed win the card... As with before, I have not yet updated your Inventory threads. They should be updated shortly. Your Inventory threads should be updated. If you notice any errors, please tell me.

Where do you hooligans keep finding these alarm clocks? Are those LGT approved alarm clocks? I might have to confiscate those.... Oh, where has Alydar gotten to? He'd know better than I the specific rules for foreign mechanical belongings...

As Alydar slept, he tossed and he turned. He thought of all the deep secrets, deep thoughts he had learned. All the backstabbing and bidding and planning with care, and the though that soon most of them would no longer be there! "Yes!" He thought gladly! "What fun it shall be!" "Their shock and disbelief is delicious to me!" "For it is I with the gavel, when the verdict is tossed!" "And it is by my hand that all of their plans will have lost!" "Their coins I shall have, no mercy I shall show!" "And right out this door, the bad Liars will go!" "And behind them I'll stand, drinking wine from my cup," "Knowing that the losers may NEVER get up!" get up get up Get up. Get Up! GET UP! Imada Saneatsu yelled at the top of his lungs. Alydar woke with a start. The wonderful dream he'd had, gone. Then he looked towards the clock. "Oh crap, I've overslept!"

You all wait far too long, when suddenly a phone begins ringing. You look around in surprise to see who forgot to turn it off! At the end of the third ring, you hear the clack of a phone flipping open, and the attendant speaks, "Hello?" For a while, he listens and nods. After a minute or so of listening, he nods and closes the phone. He turns to the six of you. "The Jack of Clubs goes to deendir for 2 coins." He slides the card over. "The King of Diamonds goes to darinas3 for 10 coins." He slides the card over. "The 10 of Spades goes to Avalon for 1 coin." He slides the card over. "The 3 of Diamonds goes to Imada Saneatsu for 3 coins." He slides the card over. "The 6 of Hearts goes to reynardfox for 3 coins." He slides the card over. "The 4 of Diamonds goes to Incognito for 1 coin." He slides the card over. "The 5 of Spades goes to reynardfox for 5 coins, paid to deendir." He slides the card over. The attendant presses a button, and the leaderboard flashes onto the screen. "The standings of the game are on the screen behind me. They have been updated for this recent auction." Round 4 Resultsdeendir: 5 cards, 212 coins = 21 points Incognito: 4 cards, 231 coins = 21 points reynardfox: 4 cards, 231 coins = 21 points Avalon: 3 cards, 235 coins = 18 points Imada Saneatsu: 3 cards, 229 coins = 18 points darinas3: 2 cards, 222 coins = 16 points After a moment's pause, the attendant takes out the next pack of cards and speaks once more: "These following cards will make up the next lots. Note that Incognito is auctioning his King of Hearts and deendir his 2 of Spades." The screen changes to the lots, and a timer starts ticking down... You all have 48 hours to make your bid. The round ends at 7:30 am GMT on Saturday, April 18th, 2015. Make sure to send a PM to Alydar with your bids (or lack thereof) by that time. After a few moments of waiting, the attendant's phone rings once more. The attendant reaches down and brings up... an empty silver platter. Suddenly, Alydar's laugh cackles over the speakers, and pies rain down from the ceiling, some hitting players, others smashing onto the floor. The attendant deftly catches one on his platter. "Ahahahahahahahahahaaa!!! We've passed the halfway point! Enjoy these fabulous pies, as I read you the results! Digging himself a hole is Avalon with the Queen of Spades for 1 coin. Following after him is reynardfox, taking the 2 of Spades from deendir for 5 coins! Meanwhile, deendir and Imada go out to a Club, Imada staying until 8 with his 2 coins, while deendir makes his 2 coins go for Jack. Ahah. darinas3 becomes the King of Clubs for only 3 coins and doubles up by getting a Heart from Incognito as well for another 3! Incognito uses his newfound wealth to get some Diamonds, for a single stingy coin! Meanwhile, it appears you've all lost Heart, as the 10 goes unbid-for... Well, you'll see it again eventually, ahaha..." As each card's winner is read out, the attendant hands that player their card, and the number of coins is subtracted from their balances. Afterward, the leaderboard flashes onto the screen: Round 5 Resultsdeendir: 5 cards, 215 coins = 25 points darinas3: 4 cards, 216 coins = 24 points reynardfox: 5 cards, 226 coins = 22 points Avalon: 4 cards, 234 coins = 19 points Incognito: 4 cards, 233 coins = 19 points Imada Saneatsu: 3 cards, 227 coins = 18 points Once more, Alydar's voice crackles over the speakers. "Well, we've got quite the slew of cards up for auction! Ahahaha, Incognito, Imada Saneatsu, and deendir all offer their cards for the next round! See?" With that, the screen abruptly changes to the next lots, and a timer starts ticking down... You all have 48 hours to make your bid. The round ends at 11:30 am GMT on Monday, April 20th, 2015. By the way, the 8 of clubs I put up? It's supposed to be an Ace of Clubs. No, I didn't screw that up, Alydar did. No, I don't know why Alydar screwed that up, I'm hoping that he can fix it. Because Ace and 8 sound similar in my head, you had both Clubs, and I wrote it down wrong in my notes as a result. That is correct; Imada's discarded card was the Ace of Clubs, NOT the 8. My apologies. If you would like to extend the round as a result, I can.
