Ah, people are finally starting to gather. I thought you were going to be absent for sure. I want the Four of Diamond.
Everyone please settle on a card and send in your bids as soon as possible.

Do you mean the six of diamonds, seeing as the four is not currently up?
And I've an interest in the 9 of Spades or the 6 of Spades right now. I'm fine with either or, if anyone else wants to go after things.

I would be interested in the 9 of spades.

Alright, everyone wants the 9 of Spades. Thinking back, that should have been obvious.
I'll change mine to the Ace of Clovers.

We still need Darinus's choice, and then I think we're set.

So I've come up with a way to decide on who gets a card if two people really, really want the same. I was planning on waiting until it happened to go over it, less I clutter up the conversation, but I don't want there to be a clusterfuck while we can't all communicate because of this thing called 'life'.
It's pretty simple, really. First, the we would choose someone within our group to be an impartial third party. Then we have the two people play odds and evens. There are variants of this game, and some people are unfamiliar with it, so I will describe the rules.
The third party assign's one person to be Even and one to be Odd. Then they both PM the third party either the number 1 or the number 2. When both of the numbers are added up, if the sum is even then Even wins. If the sum is odd then Odd wins.
It is fair, even, impartial, and yet I really hope we don't need to resort to this because it would take time to set up and execute, and I would like to think that we could solve our problems in a civil manner without resorting to random numbers.
Just my thoughts on any future disputes, though it looks like we are unlikely to have one this round.

I do like the sounds of that, Imada. That's a really good suggestion IMO, though I am curious to ask what to do in cases of more than 2 competitors. Tournament style?
That aside, I'm fine with going for the 6 of Spades.

I have made my bid.
So just to run it down: reynardfox is going for 6 of Spades Incognito is going for 6 of Diamonds I'm going for Ace of Clovers Avalon is going for 9 of Spades
deendir and darinas3 are so far undecided.
And yeah, if we have more that 2, tournament style would be the solution. I really don't want that though, because that would take forever.

There's still an hour before Darinas was online 24 hours ago, so it's not impossible he shows up and bids on one of the aces. Deendir I would probably give up on.

Lag. I hate it when lag causes a double post.

That Jack of Diamond is taunting us. TAUTNING I tell you! I am going for a Straight here, so I'll be taking the Five of Diamond.
Imada should take the ten and Darinas the Jack.

On a side note, our plan was a huge success, with the exception of deendir of course. Even cooperation as small as this usually hard to achieve, and we made it look easy.
The new problem is, do we keep letting cards slip by if deendir doesn't show?
