Revival Ticket Auction
As you’ve all noticed by now, Bid Poker has finished for both groups and four more players have been eliminated. However, we did mention an “announcement” attached to the end of the final result posts, especially for those eliminated. Well, here it is!
Modern wisdom says that money is life and the rich get to dictate the fates of the unfortunate. The Revival Ticket we're awarding to the highest bidder embodies those sentiments. Therefore, you have an opportunity to save a friend (or yourself!) from elimination! So if you're not tired of bidding yet, the rules of this auction are as follows...
Auction General Information
1) The auction lasts 72h, starting now.
2) This is a silent auction for one Revival Ticket. Your bid AND the name of a Target you wish to revive must be made by PM to Liar Game (admin). Bids without both pieces of information will be ignored.
3) Players may not combine their individual bids into a bigger bid. However, transfers to other players are allowed during this time and will be executed immediately. Therefore, a bid larger than the bidder's current bank account will be accepted, but then disregarded at the deadline if the bank account fails to match the bid.
4) After a Revival Ticket has been bought, there will be another period of 48h to pay off all of that Target's LGT-related debts (see the next section for more information). Once this 48h period has passed, there will be another announcement with the result.
5) Any player who participated in Bid Poker (including the eliminated) may bid in this auction, along with the winner of Musical Chairs, Player #13 (LSRose).
6) Highest bid wins. In the event of a tie, the bid placed first takes precedence.
7) Minimum bid is 1 yen. Smallest acceptable increment is also 1 yen. Any fractions shall be ignored.
8) The LGT will announce the winner, the winning bid, and the Target to revive.
9) If none of the Targets are able to revive, the Tournament continues with the remaining seven players.
10) There is no inactivity penalty for not participating in the auction.
11) If a Target does not wish to rejoin the Tournament, please notify Liar Game (admin) of your intentions as a courtesy to the other players.
12) Players who fail to revive may ask to rejoin as a substitute.
Clearing Debt
1) Any and all outstanding LGT-related debt must be cleared for the Target to revive. The LGT-related debt is separate from Starting Debt.
2) Starting Debt. Remember that some players may have chosen to begin the Tournament with a starting debt. Remaining uncleared starting debt does not count against any remaining debt to be cleared. Also, any starting debt already cleared does not count as a credit to the remaining debt.
3) To reduce any confusion from the prior rule, the LGT will also provide to the winning bidder's Target a PM of the total debt to be cleared once the Revival Ticket has been awarded.
4) A bid on the Revival Ticket does not count towards clearing debt
5) Debt removal does not have to occur until after the Revival Ticket has been bought.
6) Multiple players may transfer money to clear the Target's debt. Standard transaction rules still apply.
7) If a Revival Ticket was bought, but the Target does not have their debt cleared, the Revival Ticket is handed to the next highest bidder also selecting a different Target not yet chosen. Again, the new winner, winning bid, and new Target will be announced. Then the new Target will have 48h to clear debt. This will be repeated as possible. No refunds.
8) Only the Target will know his/her current debt status.
9) The existence of the debt-related rules for this auction does not imply that at least one Target has debt.
