Consideration Phase
You are each led by your respective opponents to the next room. Inside, Alydar sits on one side of a long desk, calmly shuffling a deck of cards. The room seems quite bare, the brown, flowery wallpaper peeling here and there to reveal the wood walls behind. At some points, it appears rotted through, though the room as a whole appears stable. "Ahahaha, do come in!" Alydar calls in WhITelion and Fiona as they arrive.
"Now, you two are smart, are you not? There's no need to explain the rules further, ahahaha. Your attendants surely did a good job as they led you here, no? Let's put the chips on the table and start gambling!" Alydar fans the deck he's been shuffling in front of him and gestures that both of you sit at the other side of the long desk, next to each other. With that done, he snaps his fingers, and a projector screen on the wall behind him unrolls toward the floor. On it is written the following sequence of numbers...
2, 4, 7, 9, 8, 6, 4, 2, 8, 7
"There! The first 10 numbers in the sequence. Do they make sense? Ahaha, of course not. Well, consider what you want to do before we move on to the first round. Take this big break, and use it wisely, ahahahaha!"
Player #01 (WhITelion) - Starting Chips: 105
Player #23 (Fiona) - Starting Chips: 197
The Consideration Phase has begun! Each of you also has two Tokens. These can be used to buy hints during the course of this game. A hint for an algorithm comes at the cost of one Token. If you have already bought the hint for a specific algorithm, you can spend a second Token to buy the rest of the sequence (numbers 11-20). Or you can just buy the rest of the sequence for both of your Tokens!
If you think the algorithm is too difficult (or just feel like it), you can RESET the algorithm for a measly 25 Chips. This reset can happen only once per game but can be done at the behest of either player (or both!). A reset will be announced at the conclusion of a given round and will mark the start of a new Consideration Phase.
Round 1 will begin on 1:30 am GMT on Tuesday, October 27th. As Daylight Savings Time appears to be changing times at various places around the world, I feel obligated to remind you to be aware, whenever this might apply to you. GMT undergoes no Daylight Savings Time, so round times will not be affected. I also want to remind you that decisions should be sent to BOTH Alydar and the Liar Game (admin) account, should you make any this phase.
