Is whatever # starting chamber is picked announced? So if 16 was the starting chamber would you say "this is chamber 16"?
Also then after that does it go one at a time? So 16, then 17, then 18? Or mystery #, mystery # +1, mystery +2?
5) If the chamber was empty, the shooter collects the deposit.
What's a deposit?

Is whatever # starting chamber is picked announced? So if 16 was the starting chamber would you say "this is chamber 16"? The starting chamber is not announced. The first round will be considered the first chamber, but it could be any number from 1-24. If the starting chamber were 16, it would be considered the first chamber. Also then after that does it go one at a time? So 16, then 17, then 18? Or mystery #, mystery # +1, mystery +2? It does go one at a time. So it would be {unknown starting chamber}, {unknown starting chamber}+1, {unknown starting chamber}+2, etc. 5) If the chamber was empty, the shooter collects the deposit. What's a deposit? Both players bid a number from 0-15. This is the "deposit." The player who bids the lower number shoots the gun for that round. If the gun is empty, the shooter collects the amount bid by the opponent.

If you would like to, you may specify that you do not finalize your decision. If you do so, the round will end at the deadline, rather than after both players' decisions are in.
For Winner's Rounds, players are ranked by chip count, not by victory points. The player in 4th place is the player with the least number of chips and therefore cannot have more chips than the player in 1st place, who has the most chips out of the four players.
If you login and go to the home page of the forum and scroll down until you see your group, you should see a Dealer's name listed there. At minimum, that Dealer must receive your actions. If you're unsure, check the Player's List in your group; that should state your Dealer as well. Individual rounds should also note where you should send your decisions. When in doubt, make sure at least the admin account receives it, or send it to all Dealers.
No. If the second reload still contains overlaps, the Dealer will fill the named chambers and proceed to randomize bullets until there are 6 bullets in the gun. Players will not be informed whether or not this randomization occurred.
If a player is inactive without an advance decision, they will automatically use a period from the Time Bank to extend the deadline by 24 hours, provided they have any remaining. Each player has 3 periods to use in total across all three games, so they should be used sparingly. Once all periods have been used, inactivity penalties will come into play.
Since the rounds go by so quickly, and there are 8 games, it would be both clunky and frustrating to keep up the clocks in the headers. As such, please make sure to check in at least once every 24 hours (preferably more) to check when deadlines are and whether any rounds have ended early due to finalization. Dealers may be able to send reminders, but we are not required to. If you are worried about missing rounds, you may always send decisions in advance.
Don't worry; the header clocks will be back after the end of the Revival Round, when they become more feasible.

Rules Addendum Due to problems of having few chips at the end of a game, the LGT loans for this game (see General Rules, Bankruptcy 1a) have been partially extended to players who have NOT gone bankrupt. The exact rules are as follow:
If a player ends a game with less than 100 chips on hand, that player may opt to loan out money from the LGT, up to a maximum of 100 chips (equivalent to 100M yen). Those chips (or equivalent money) must be returned to the LGT at the conclusion of the Round. As with Bankruptcy, this option is only available to players in the Revival Round.
This cap of 100 chips covers the same pool as bankruptcy money. If a player loans 50 chips after the first game and then goes bankrupt, that player can only loan 50 chips for use in the third game. Similarly, if that player is eligible to loan chips after the conclusion of the second game, that player could only loan a maximum of 50 chips for use in the third game.
Any player eligible to loan chips following a game will be notified and provided a deadline to make their decision. If no decision is made by that deadline, that player will loan no chips.

Some typos in the rules have been brought to our attention, which resulted in the placement of duplicate cards. We apologize for any resulting confusion, and the cards have been corrected. For those who don't want to spend time figuring out the changes: Shuffle #3, card #12 has been changed from an As -> Ad. Shuffle #6, card #15 has been changed from an Ac -> Ad. Shuffle #6, card #16 has been changed from a Kd -> Kc. If any player notices other typos in the rules, please bring it to our attention ASAP, so it can be resolved quickly. We try to keep the rules as free from mistakes as possible, but we can make mistakes and would like to hear from you if you think we've made one. That is pattern spotting: the ability to recognize and discern patterns, which will be helpful in finding algorithms.

No, it will not be revealed how many Tokens each player used or for what algorithms. If, however, 17 Poker ends with a tie in profit, the player with more Tokens left at the end will be revealed, though it will not be revealed how many Tokens either player has. If there is also a tie in Tokens (resulting in a draw), that will be revealed, though the specific number will not. First place is always capped at gaining 150M yen. Second place is always capped at gaining 100M yen. 3rd place is always capped at losing 100M yen. Last place is always capped at losing 150M yen. All scenarios are zero-sum (barring fractions, which only result in a loss of 1 yen to the LGT). There is a reason we left this unsaid unless needed, but it was asked, so we shall answer. There are a lot of cases, so be forewarned... 1) If everybody has the same number of chips, no one wins or loses any money. 2) If there are two players tied at 2nd place (so 1st, 2nd, 2nd, and 4th place), the players in 2nd place do not win or lose money. 4th place pays 1st place the difference between 1st and 4th, capped at 150M yen. 3) If there is a tie for 1st place and a tie for 3rd place (so 1st, 1st, 3rd, and 3rd place), the players in 3rd place each lose the difference between 1st and 3rd, capped at 100M yen. The players in 1st place gain that same amount. 4) If there are three players tied at 2nd place (so 1st, 2nd, 2nd, and 2nd place), the player in 1st place gains the difference between 1st and 2nd place, capped at 150M yen. The players in 2nd place lose 1/3rd of that amount. 5) If there are three players tied at 1st place (so 1st, 1st, 1st, and 4th place), the player in 4th place loses the difference between 1st and 4th place, capped at 150M yen. The players in 1st place gain 1/3rd of that amount. 6) If there are two players tied at 1st place (so 1st, 1st, 3rd, and 4th place), the player in 3rd place loses the difference between 1st and 3rd place, capped at 100M yen. The player in 4th place loses the difference between 1st and 4th place, capped at 150M yen. Each player in 1st place gets half of the total amount lost by 3rd and 4th place. 7) If there are two players tied at 3rd place (so 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd place), the situation is a bit more complicated. Take (1st - 3rd) and (2nd - 3rd) and add those together. Each player in 3rd place loses half of that, capped at 100M yen (so the total is capped at 200M yen). 1st place and 2nd place gain a proportional split of the money lost by those in 3rd place, with 1st place capped at 150M yen. If 1st place would proportionally earn more than 150M yen, 2nd place gains any excess. Since this is a bit difficult to explain with just words, we'll provide an example. Example for #7: 1st place: 300 chips 2nd place: 200 chips 3rd place: 25 chips 3rd place: 25 chips 1st - 3rd = 275M yen 2nd - 3rd = 175M yen This total (450M yen, here) is capped at 200M yen. Each player in 3rd place loses 1/2 of that amount, or 100M yen. 1st place gains 200 * (275 / 450) = 122,222,222 yen. 2nd place gains 200 * (175 / 450) = 77,777,777 yen. We hope this helps clear this concern up and was worth the explanation...

It has come to our attention that cards #15 and #16 of Shuffle 8 have been misplaced.
The corrections are as follows: 1) Shuffle 8, #15: Jh -> Js 2) Shuffle 8, #16: Js -> Jh
The error does not change the results of any round. These corrected values will be used in current and future rounds.

Our apologies; that appears to have been lost in the transfer to paper. The 10 chips from preparing Black as the winning color are paid to the LGT.
Both players receive points from each board. You get points from the number of points you place on your own winning color on your own board as well as the number of points you place on your opponent's winning color on your opponent's board.

The 20 extra bonus points are only given if a player goes all-in. If you go all-in and guess correctly, you earn 20 bonus points. However, if you guess incorrectly, the opponent gets those 20 bonus points instead. No risk, no reward...
In other words, if you bet on two colors and happen to miss the winning color, you gain 0 points from that board, but the opponent does not get an extra 20 points. We apologize that this was a bit ambiguous.
