A soft tone, like the sound of a bell, echoes through the room, interrupting a few discussions. The rest of the players look up to see that the attendant who led them there slipped away sometime during the round while everyone was busy voting. A panel in the ceiling near the door retracts and a monitor slides down, blinking to life and showing a figure in a metallic mask. At the same time, a hole appears in the center of the table as its surface retracts.
"Hello, everyone! My name is Ormonde and I will be your dealer for this game. It is lovely to meet you all and I hope to enjoy watching you all play together. Now, as the first round has just ended, if you could just slide your voting ballots into the slot in the center of the table we will be able to proceed." There is a brief pause as votes are submitted. From somewhere off screen, a message tube drops into Ormonde's open hands. He quickly unscrews the cap and pulls out a piece of paper.
"There we go! Now, the moment you've all been waiting for, the results!" A second monitor on the other side of the room descends, showing a chart.
"Hmm..." Ormonde muses from his monitor, "Those totals don't seem right. I'm pretty sure there should be more votes than that...." He peers around the room and suddenly gasps, "We've lost a player! How could that happen? Where did he go?" Sure enough, bakapunk seems to have sneaked off somewhere, leaving his game materials untouched.
"Well, that's simply unacceptable." Ormonde's voice grows suddenly cold. "A game isn't much fun to watch if people aren't even playing it. I'll allow this sort of tomfoolery once, but should it happen again, I'm afraid there will be certain penalties for him to face." He seems to brighten somewhat. "The rest of you are doing fine, though, so just keep that up and I don't see any problems with any of you. Oh, and congratulations to Sir Renyard Fox for his early lead. It seems you have earned the respect of your peers by performing exceptionally. The rest of you might want to curry some additional favor before the end of the game. But I'll leave that to you. If any of you need anything, hit the button by the light switch and myself or an attendant will come assist you."
Player #18, bakapunk, was inactive this round.
Round 2 will conclude in 72 hours, on Thursday May 28 at 7:00:00 AM GMT. Please have all ten of your votes in before the deadline. If you would like, you may finalize your vote when you cast it. While you may still change a finalized vote, finalizing it tells the Dealers that you do not intend to change your vote. If all players have finalized their votes before the end of the round, the round will end early. If you know that circumstances may prevent you from a timely submission, you may also send in votes for future rounds, so that you’re not counted as inactive. Future votes cannot be finalized until you confirm them during the turn they’re due.
All votes and contracts should be sent by PM to Ormonde and Alydar. When sending in a contract, make sure that both signatories send in the same contract as confirmation of their approval. The Dealers will do their best to confirm all contracts within 24 hours from receiving them, though we cannot guarantee there will be no delays.
