"This line of attack doesn't work. I should inspect the small, golden thorns on the vines of the roses on the left side first." You look through the golden thorns on the vines of the roses on the left side, but you can't seem to find anything out of place. It would appear there's nothing there.

"Because the status of the machine isn't updated for the reel stoppers and the buttons... I am absolutely certain that there's a hidden mechanism there by way of metagaming. My next move should be to inspect the golden leaves on the vines on the left side."

There are a lot of them. Well... you look at them all carefully and fail to find anything of note. It would appear there's nothing there.

I pull both levers, then inspect the lever on the left side of the machine. You pull both levers, but nothing more happens. Oh, well. As for the left lever, it's just a normal lever, used to start the Slot Machine (once you've paid, of course). You can pull it down to a certain extent, at which point it stops (and the reels would start to spin). Releasing it makes it swing back up to its original position.

Fiona pops in again, looking at the reels. "I'm so bored! I want the next game!" She pays particular ttention to their shape, then tries to touch them and slide a hand along, then tries to manually rotate them...

"Pushing the golden buttons in order, from left to right worked once. The opposite will have to work! I'll have to try pushing those buttons from right to left then. If even that doesn't work, I'll have to inspect the back of the machine. In particular, the cherubim motif."

What? No update? Anyway, being extremely bored, Fiona decides to sit on the floor near to the slot machine and sing "La-la-la-la" whenever someone else approaches itand does any actions.

Fiona pops in again, looking at the reels. "I'm so bored! I want the next game!" She pays particular ttention to their shape, then tries to touch them and slide a hand along, then tries to manually rotate them... The reels look like normal reels of slot machines: they seem to be many-faced, with an image on each face. As you try to manually rotate them, you do notice that there is a slight give, but they lock up after barely even moving, snapping back to where they were when you let go. "Pushing the golden buttons in order, from left to right worked once. The opposite will have to work! I'll have to try pushing those buttons from right to left then. If even that doesn't work, I'll have to inspect the back of the machine. In particular, the cherubim motif." You press the golden buttons from right to left, but nothing appears to happen. You then head to the back of the machine, looking at the cherubim motif there. Yes, as you expected, there's absolutely nothing out of the ordinary ther- wait! What's this? Huh. The left (your right) eye of the cherub on the left seems a bit odd. Curious, you try to push it in, and... it depressed, spinning the motif around to reveal a piece of paper on the back. You take off the piece of paper, and the motif spins back around after a set of time. ...in the interest of collaboration, you show the paper around. If you don't, it's not a problem; the attendants will be more than happy to spread the word! What? No update? Anyway, being extremely bored, Fiona decides to sit on the floor near to the slot machine and sing "La-la-la-la" whenever someone else approaches itand does any actions. The Slot Machine looks extremely abashed at its lack of response and tries to express its apologies at not updating in a timely fashion. Since it is unable to move, this may come off to you as quite more of the same, but rest assured that it is making an effort. As you sing each la, the gazebo spins slightly, as it is wont to do. If you wait long enough, it slowly spins back to its original position. Well, that's one way to pass the time as you look at your new hint.
WhITelion's paper reads as follows: Concerning games and the running thereof, one thing and one thing only should be held in the highest regard. A Dealer should be constant in rulings, and so too should the Attendants. Consistency is key, and the way the rules are upheld should thus stay consistent across games, across rounds, across players. Where ambiguity and confusion arises, a decision must be made and kept constant across all iterations. Similarly, when answering a question multiple times, the answer must remain the same regardless of which player receives the answer. If asked for clarification regarding the rules, each response should hold the same information, ultimately turned into an FAQ where required for the sake of fairness. Errata: In the event that circumstances change, the response must of course be similarly updated. It would be idiotic to respond to a question regarding specific details of a round when asked in a later round. Consistency is key, but so is correctness. Make sure all FAQs are kept in context and made as understandable as possible. You wonder why this passage happens to be ripped out and stuck in the Slot Machine. It seems like quite obvious information to you...

In an amazing feat of acrobatics, I flip the back cherubim motif and press the button on the gazebo at the same time, and then press all the gold buttons from right to left.

And I actually fail to observe what exactly images are visible on the reels? I must try again!!! I thought I had a paper somewhere that had a list of images, but it looks like I'll have to make do without it! The images on the reels are the exact same that they were when they were last spun: the left one is an image of a Stationary Roulette, as is the right one. The middle one is an image of a Hand of Golden Cards. You can also see one image above and one image below each current position. Directly above the left reel is a Cherry, and directly below it is a Contact Watch. Directly above the middle reel is a Golden Marble, and directly below it is another Cherry. Directly above the right reel is a 7, and directly below it is another Hand of Golden Cards. In an amazing feat of acrobatics, I flip the back cherubim motif and press the button on the gazebo at the same time, and then press all the gold buttons from right to left. The Slot Machine is not so massive that you wouldn't be able to reach all of these from the side. Unless you're short, in which case a chair might be required. Or you could coordinate with another person. Or, I suppose, you could attempt some feat of acrobatics like jumping over the Slot Machine. Whatever works. You press the gazebo's button and the cherub's eye at the same time, flipping the motif back as you then press the gold buttons below the reel stoppers from right to left. Once you're done with that, you wait expectantly, but nothing really seems to happen. After WhITelion fails his acrobatics and falls butt-first on the floor, Fiona says, "WhITellion no baka, let me help you with that!" Apparently the acrobatics was not a good idea! Well, Fiona says some words, and the gazebo spins slightly at some points, but nothing important really happens.
