Hell, the dude I was watching was carrying a full on conversation at the time as well. I think he even looked away from the screen at one point. He described it as less reflexes, and more instinct and intuition. I have never been that good at any game ever, and I put several hundred hours into TF2.

If you play a lot of Tetris, those things will become easier because Tetris mechanics allow you to do so. I can roughly predict what pieces come next now, but not at a precise level. And about other games, I don't remember how many hours but I played DotA starting from 4-5? years ago I believe. After that much time, spotting your and others' mistakes becomes easy.

Yeah, but making it instinctual is difficult. But I can see how that would be easier in Tetris. Still, invisible blocks that fall instantly are invisible, and fall instantly.

Falling instantly is the easier part, as Tetris mechanics allow you to work around that. Invisible blocks? Good luck. (I did it once, survived for about 1-2 minutes).

According to what they were saying, the instant blocks are harder on some versions than others. Like, a lot harder. The video was www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViwDUiCzPVU , by the way, if you want to watch. It is extremely good.

This is the clip that I like though, played on TGM3: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwC544Z37qo

Yep, that was about what I expected from a pro player. In other news, my mind is still blown.
By the way, I have an AIM now. Figured it might be useful.

The guy in that video is the first Western player to reach the highest rank in TGM3. Just 1 month ago. Looking at the video I posted... It will take a while (TGM3 is also a Japan exclusive game). Being Asian really helps me at Tetris though. Finally figured out how the pieces work together.

It appears I was too late for the drinks. Ah well! There's still free salt and ice. Try that. How can I even poison the ice?
